Abstract

Inferiority is a feeling of inferiority, this feeling is a normal condition for everyone and if it is excessive it will affect individual behavior. This research was conducted based on field facts found in MTs. Private Al-Jam'iyatul Washliyah Tembung. This study aims to understand the reasons for students' feelings of inferiority, the forms of inferiority experienced by students and to find out the efforts of guidance and counseling teachers when dealing with feelings of inferiority experienced by students at MTs. Private Al-Jam'iyatul Washliyah Tembung. Descriptive qualitative approach is the type of research used. The participants for this study served as informants who provided information related to the research, which consisted of 3 female students in grade IX who experienced inferiority, 2 BK teachers, 1 subject teacher, 1 MTs vice principal. Private Al-Jam'iyatul Washliyah Tembung. Methods of collecting data in research using observation, interviews and documentation. .The results of this study indicate feelings of inferiority experienced by MTs students. Private AlJam'iyatul Washliyah is caused by internal and external factors. In addition, students' feelings of inferiority occur from various aspects, namely, physical aspects, mental aspects and social aspects. Forms of inferiority experienced by MTs students. Private Al-Jam'iyatul Washliyah, namely a form of pure inferiority and a cover-up form is shown from student behavior. Guidance and counseling teachers' efforts to overcome students' feelings of inferiority are to provide assistance through individual counseling services so that feelings of inferiority experienced by students are allayed.
