Abstract
Pulmonary tuberculosis is still a health problem in the world and in developing countries, including Indonesia. This research is a quantitative research with a case control design. This research was conducted in the work area of the Kotanopan Public Health Center, Mandailing Natal Regency. It was conducted from December 2021 to February 2022. The sample of this research was 82 respondents. Data was collected through interviews and observations. Data analysis in this study is univariate analysis and bivariate analysis, univariate analysis using descriptive analysis and bivariate analysis using Chi square test and Odds Ratio (OR) value. The results showed that there was a relationship between education and the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis (P-value = 0.040; OR = 3.025; 95% CI = 1.027-8.908), there was a relationship between work and the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis (P-value = 0.027; OR = 3.109; 95% CI = 1.113-8.685), there is a relationship between room temperature and the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis (P-value = 0.000; OR = 7.454; 95% CI = 2.574-21.584), there is a relationship between humidity and the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis (P-value = 0.014; OR = 3.088; 95% CI = 1.240-7.692), there is a relationship between the type of floor of the house with the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis (P-value = 0.044; OR = 2.494; 95% CI = 1.014-6.132), and there is a relationship between residential density and the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis (P-value = 0.027; OR = 2.708; 95% CI = 1.109-6.615) in the working area of the Nopan City Health Center, Mandailing Natal Regency. It is hoped that people who suffer from pulmonary tuberculosis in the working area of the Nopan City Health Center, Mandailing Natal Regency, open windows every day so that sunlight enters the house and air circulation in the house goes well. And the District/City Health Offices and Community Health Centers carry out health promotions to the community regarding the prevention of transmission of Pulmonary Tuberculosis.
