Abstract

The Medan City Library and Archives Service has used website-based information technology to manage member records, manage book records, borrow books, return books, and register new members, but this website is only accessible to officers or library administrators, so that all existing information system processes, whether it be new member registration, book borrowing or book renewal, members must visit the library. This study uses the research and development method in analyzing needs or problems that aim to develop a platform in the form of an Android-based application to solve the above problems. Using the waterfall system development method in this platform, an integration with the firebase store service is performed. Integration between Android and Firebase applications can be done by using Firebase's SDK as well as registering the application key with Firebase and using Flutter as an application creation tool. This platform can help library staff and library members to register library members, borrow books and extend book lending, which is calculated and done systematically with the implementation of firebase.
