Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a development of puzzle games on cognitive development in children 5-6 years old in NU ISLAMIC TK. In this study, the method used is an experimental method with a quasi-experimental type. The data collectiontechniques for this research are observation techniques, anecdotal notes and documentation. The data analysis technique of this research is through run test. Based on the implementationof education that focuses on laying the foundation for physical growth and development (fine motor and gross motor coordination), intelligence (thinking power and creativity, emotional intelligence, spiritual), social emotional (attitude and behavior as well as religion), language andcommunication in accordance with the uniqueness and stages of development that is passed byearly childhood. So the results of research and analysis that have been carried out for one monthand the final data using the Run-test show the results that: There is an ef ect of puzzle games onchildren's cognitive development. This can be seen from the results of the posttest and pretest experimental and control classes. The ef ect of puzzle games on cognitive development in childrenin the experimental class increased 81.5% from the previous 75% increase to 87.25%.
