Abstract
This study aims to address the problems of eight proposed hypotheses, which include: 1) Is there a direct effect on the madrasa climate on teacher job satisfaction in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in the Nias Islands ?; 2) Is there a direct influence of Subordinate Trust on teacher job satisfaction in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Nias Islands ?; 3) Is there a direct influence on the madrasa climate on the professional competence of teachers in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah throughout the Nias Islands ?; 4) Is there an indirect effect on the madrasa climate on teacher professional competence through job satisfaction in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah throughout the Nias Islands ?; 5) Is there a direct influence on the confidence of subordinates on the professional competence of teachers in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah throughout the Nias Islands ?; 6) Is there an indirect effect of subordinate trust on teacher professional competence through job satisfaction in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah throughout the Nias Islands ?; 7) Is there a direct effect on job satisfaction on teacher professional competence in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah throughout the Nias Islands ?; and 8) How big is the simultaneous influence of the madrasa climate, the trust of subordinates, and job satisfaction together on the professional competence of teachers in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah throughout the Nias Islands?. The population of this research is 202 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers in Nias Islands with 97 samples taken using the Harry King Nomogram. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The research data is processed and analyzed by path analysis path analysis. This path analysis begins by testing the analysis requirements including normality test, homogeneity test, linearity test and significance of regression and independence test among Exogenus Variables. The results of the analysis of this study indicate: 1) Madrasa climate has a direct effect on job satisfaction of 7.8%, 2) Subordinate Trust has a direct effect on job satisfaction of 10.2%; 3) Madrasa climate directly influences the teacher professional competence of 10.2%; 4) Madrasa climate indirect effect on teacher professional competence of 2.1%; 5) Subordinate Trust has a direct positive effect on teacher professional competence of 3.4%; 6) Subordinate Trust has an indirect effect on teacher professional competence through job satisfaction of 1.8%; 7) Job satisfaction has a direct positive effect on teacher professional competence of 9.8%; and 8) The total (simultaneous) influence of madrasa climate, subordinate trust and job satisfaction together on the professional competence of teachers in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Nias Islands is 40.6%, while the rest comes from other factors outside the variables used in the study this. Suggestions of this research related to improving teacher professional competence can be done by encouraging the development of the teaching profession in a sustainable manner, providing legal protection is necessary especially socially so that the civil effect of the teaching profession gets adequate recognition besides legal protection can provide legal power to educators, encourage continuous improvement of the personal capacity of teachers and open opportunities for continuing education at a higher level.
