Abstract
One of the biggest occupational diseases is dermatosis. The percentage of occupational dermatoses from all occupational diseases occupies the highest portion of around 60-50%. Occupational Skin Disease ranks the second highest after musculoskeletal disease, with around 22% of all occupational diseases. This type of research is analytic survey with cross-sectional study design. Data collection in this study using a questionnaire and processed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) application. Data analysis using chi square test. The sample size in this study amounted to 85 fishermen. There is a significant relationship between the use of boots (P-value 0.040) and the use of protective headgear (P-value 0.020), but there is no significant relationship between the use of gloves (P-value 0.268) and protective clothing (P-value 0.362) . Fishermen must always pay attention to safety and health during work, especially for occupational diseases such as dermatosis (skin diseases) for fishermen, which can be minimized by using good personal protective equipment (PPE).
