Abstract
Managerial headmaster of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Stabat in increasing teacher professionalism is carried out in order to change the performance of teachers in advancing education due to increasingly fierce competition in accordance with the times so that the teachers in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Stabat are professional and have skills that are in the spotlight of the community in integrating their knowledge. thus making the community more and more increasingly making Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Stabat excellent school in Langkat Regency. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research that aims to collect a variety of information and data relating to the managerial headmaster of madrasas in improving the professionalism of teachers in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Stabat. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. To check the validity of the data, the researcher uses triangulation of data sources. The results showed that: (1) The managerial form of the school principal in improving teacher professionalism including training, teacher certification, improvement of teacher professionalism through MGMP, supervision, study studies, and the provision of supporting facilities,motivation and disciplines. (2) In managing teachers to achieve professionalism, they continue to try to meet in terms of facilities and infrastructure, but there are only a few that are ruled out such as lack of attention to teacher professionalism. (3) Head of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Stabat in increasing teacher professionalism is carried out in order to change the performance of teachers in advancing education due to increasingly fierce competition in accordance with the times so that the teachers in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Stabat are professional and have skills that are in the spotlight of the community in integrating knowledge through managerial principals in fostering teachers to improve their quality so that they become professional teachers as educational practitioners who are not just teaching are mere concepts, giving birth to teachers who have a high work ethic of teacher commitment and more respect for the teaching profession so as to increase the welfare of teachers through his profession.
