Abstract

The research aims to analyze more abaout the process of Arabic Learning at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Langsa and map issues that arise in the process of Arabic language learning; and seek solutions to overcome obstacles and problems that arise in Arabic language learning at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Langsa. This research is a qualitative study of descriptive analytical form and the result is depicted in words according to the category to obtain conclusions. Data collection of this research was carried out by; (1) Observation method; (2) Interview method; (3) Documentation. Data that has been collected is processed and analyzed through data reduction, data display and data verification. The subjects used in this study were teachers in class VII, and the objects in this study were students in class VII at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Langsa. The results of this study show that; (1) The Arabic language learning process at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Langsa is still in the process of reforming and evaluation towards a better and advanced stage. (2) Problematics that appear in Arabic language learning at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Langsa were: lack of student understanding of the material provided by the teacher, student learning motivation is low, lack of competence of some Arabic teachers and other management and curriculum issues. (3) The effort taken as a solution is to increase teacher awareness to students, especially those with less understanding, often advise and to dictated teachers to be more competent.
