Abstract

The main consent of library is an information center for which it bears its functions of education, recreation, and research. In this article, the author explains that to carry out its function the library works in managing and organizing all resources of information of any format. He also underlines the importance of making a network among libraries and other information centers to cooperate their resources for the purpose of providing a wider unbound access to the community. He maintains that this is especially true in the information and globalization era of today if one does not want to be isolated from the information society. However, given the various kinds of library, each library has to work in line with its main function to keep up with the new development of information technology
