Abstract

This research was intended to find out the empirical evidence of the students’ achievement in writing narrative paragraph by using Image Streaming Method at the tenth grade of MAS PAB 2 Helvetia Medan. This research was experimental research. The population of this research was all students of class X of MAS PAB 2 Helvetia Medan. The samples of this research were taken from 30 students of experimental group (class X-1) and 30 students of control group (class X-2). The instrument for collecting data was a test. After analyzing the data, the writer got; (1) The students’ ability in writing narrative paragraph by Image Streaming method got the mean 77.26 and standard deviation was 6.61; (2) The students’ ability in writing narrative paragraph by using conventional strategy got the mean 66.86 and standard deviation was 6.94. The value of tobserved was 5.754 and that of ttable was 2.009. So the value of tobserved was higher than that of ttable. It means that there was significant effect of using Image Streaming method on students’ ability in writing narrative paragraph
