Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how the concept and management of the Alifa swimming pool works, and the implementation of the sharia system. The existence of conventional swimming pools does not provide comfort for visitors, especially women, to be able to freely swim without mixing with the opposite sex, with the existence of sharia swimming pools which provide regulations in the form of different schedules for male and female visitors so that there is no mixing between the two when swimming. A qualitative and descriptive approach was used in this research. The swimming pool manager, two visitors, and one employee were collected for primary data. Meanwhile, literature related to swimming pool ideas and management was obtained through secondary data. The research results show that the idea and management of the Alifa swimming pool is quite in accordance with Sharia law. Even though the Alifa swimming pool still has one swimming pool and there are no separate swimming pools for men and women, the Alifa swimming pool has a visitor schedule for men and women. Compared to other conventional swimming pools, the Alifa swimming pool looks quite comfortable. However, to ensure that the Alifa swimming pool meets all halal requirements, as regulated in the DSN-MUI, there needs to be improvement in its management. For example, there must be separate swimming pools between men and women and comfortable and closed worship facilities.
