Abstract

The purpose of the exploration is to understand social interactions, both in person and through online platforms, on the behavior of online gambling players, by analyzing how social relationships, support from friends or family, and pressure from the social environment influence gambling decisions; Method The study method used is a descriptive technique with a qualitative approach, which focuses on explaining what is seen in the field or events that occur today. Descriptive studies focus on actual problems as they occur during the research; Results The results show that although there are still doubts about the negative impact of online gambling, most online gambling users in Cinta Makmur Village are workers. Therefore, the possibility of criminal acts or other things happening in the community is minimal. Most people have accepted online gambling as an integral part of their modern lives, seeing it as legitimate entertainment and even as an opportunity to earn extra income. In the midst of the never-ending urban rush, online gambling has become a pleasant escape for the people of Desa Cinta Makmur.
