Abstract
This research was conducted to know The Effect of Physical Self Assessment Strategy to Ability Students in Using Question Words. The subjects of this research were eleven grade students of SMA Muhammadiyah 18 Sunggal. The research methodology of this research was an experimental research, which conducted the experiment and control class. The population of the research was the tenth grade students of SMA Muhammadiyah 18 Sunggal in 2016/2017 academic year, the number of students was 60 students consist of two classes. The experiment class (X1) was 30 students and control class (X2) 30 students as sample. The researcher gave writing test to collect the data. There were two test; pre-test and post-test. The formula that was used to analyze the data was independent sample t-test. The researcher found that the pre test mean of experiment class was 61.50 and control class 66.67. Post-test mean of the experiment class was 77.83 and control class was 81.00. It was found that tobservation was 0.11, whereas the t-table was 2 for α= 0.05. The tobservation was lower than the ttable (0.11 < 2), so Ha was rejected while H0 was accepted. It means that there was no significant effect of Physical Self Assessment Strategy on the students’ ability in using Question Words at SMA Muhammadiyah 18 Sunggal 2017/2018 academic year.
