Abstract

This research aims to examine in depth the needs of employees. Researchers have conducted an analysis, and found, that, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) has not implemented workload measurements for each position. This causes a mismatch between the workload and the number of workers. Based on these problems, it is necessary to measure workload as a basis for calculating optimal labor requirements. Workload analysis is very important to calculate exactly how much labor is needed to complete all tasks in a section or department in the company. In this study, identification of the job activity description of each worker is carried out, analyzing the workload for each worker and the number of labor requirements for the division head of human resource services using the FTE (Full Time Equivalent) method. Based on the results of the analysis using the FTE method, it is found that the workload in the human resource service head department is 58%, the general head department is 186%, the household procurement head department is 89% and the legal and public relations head department is 35%. Based on the results of these calculations, the appropriate number of workers in the human resource services head department is 1 worker, the general head department is 2 workers, the household procurement head department is 1 worker, the legal and public relations head department is 1 worker.
