Abstract

This study aims to describe the communication strategy of the Teluk Panji Plantation village government in disseminating the covid-19 vaccination. The vaccination program has been started and is being implemented by the government of the Republic of Indonesia, including in the village of Teluk Panji Plantation. The number of hoax news or fake news regarding the Covid19 vaccination is a separate obstacle and challenge for the government in carrying out the Covid-19 vaccination program. Therefore, an appropriate communication strategy is needed to provide the public with the correct understanding of Covid-19 vaccination. The results showed that collaboration between village government stakeholders, the police, the Indonesian National Army, public health center, community leaders and religious leaders was the key to the success of the Teluk Panji Plantation village government in disseminating the covid-19 vaccination. In addition, the selection of an effective and efficient communication strategy is a supporting factor, especially enlightening and providing a correct understanding of the Covid-19 vaccine which has been falsely reported.
