Abstract

In improving the quality of education in schools, there are several factors that greatly influence it. One of these factors is the existence of educational facilities and infrastructure which is an important part of an educational institution. Therefore, it is expected that all schools should manage good educational facilities and infrastructure in accordance with the standards set by the government. With good management of educational facilities and infrastructure, all educational facilities are always ready to use when needed, so that the teaching and learning process can run effectively and efficiently and achieve educational goals. The purpose of this study was to determine the management of educational facilities and infrastructure in improving the quality of education in SMA PAB 4 Sampali. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted at SMA PAB 4 Sampali. The subjects of this study were the principal and his informants, namely the waka of facilities and infrastructure, teachers and students at SMA PAB 4 Sampali. The data collected by the method of observation, interviews and documentation. The validity of the data using triangulation. The data collected was analyzed using an interactive model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are about the implementation of facilities and infrastructure management in improving the quality of education in SMA PAB 4 Sampali. The management activities are carried out through 4 stages, namely: (1) Planning for facilities and infrastructure, in this process must be carried out carefully and thoroughly both related to the characteristics of the facilities and infrastructure needed. (2) The organization of facilities and infrastructure gives responsibility to the person who has been given the task of being the person in charge that has been structured. (3) Implementation of facilities and infrastructure, for the implementation of facilities and infrastructure needed must wait for approval from the principal. (4) Supervision or maintenance of facilities and infrastructure, is carried out if the goods or equipment can be repaired or cannot be repaired then it will be included in the warehouse.
