Abstract

The existence of changes and developments that are so rapid to make the demands of work will increase, as well as in the library. Due to the excessive work requirements, this sometimes makes the librarian feel burdened, then this will have an impact on the job satisfaction of the librarian. With this phenomenon, the researchers have an interest in discussing the job satisfaction of librarians and what factors can influence the job satisfaction of librarians. The subjects of this study were 4 librarians at the North Sumatra State Islamic University. Data retrieval is used by observing (observing) and interviewing. For data analysis that is by stage, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of the data analysis show there is a sense of job satisfaction shown by the librarian based on the positive moral attitude of the librarian looking at his work and the relationships that are built between fellow librarians. Based on this research it is suggested that those who give policies to pay attention to current working conditions so that satisfaction is maintained and this will have an impact on the results to be obtained later.
